Will Hyper Evo 212 fit?

On the CM 350 page it says that the max cpu cooler height is 148.5mm, strange that it came only 3 mm short since the CM Hyper 212 EVO is 159mm high.

Hmm, must have mixed with some other case, sorry. Well if it supports 148.5 mm with 180mm wideness, than Zalman's 199mm will be enough for 159mm cpu cooler

Yeah, but I don't have a reliable way of measuring that, I have a Zalman CNPS5X Performa in there and the side panels of the case are not flat, see picture

I tried measuring as it is, and it was roughly 160mm from the CNPS5X heatsink base till the case without the panel attached.

In theory it should fit, I just don't want the pointy bits(no idea what are they called :D) of the heatsink touching the side panel and causing a short.

It's a pain to meassure since it's not 90 degrees out, it's on a rough 45 degree angle, but I would say around 6mm give or take

edit: I like the Hyper 212, have used it before(in a different system), it's a great price/perfomance cooler, but maybe just to be sure I should get a smaller one, any suggestions?

In theory :D Well, we won't find out if I don't try, I'll post back in a few days.

Thanks for all the help ;)

I fit the Hyper 212 Evo in my Rosewill Challenger so I think it will fit in your case.

Bad news :( It doesn't fit, if you put it parallel to the fan on the back of the case so it pulls the air out, like I want, the place where the side panel jutts out starts about 2cm too low, therefore the heatpipes are touching the side panel, only other option would be turning the heatsink 90 degrees and moving rams sticks, which I don't want to do.

Looks good, but it's quite expensive here, cheapest I could find is 66 EUR what is almost triple the price of the Zalman I linked

edit: I think I will go with this one http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Scythe/Katana4/

it's 143mm high, which should be plenty of space and it's relatively cheaper than the Phanteks, since this is my secondary pc, I won't be doing crazy OC or anything of that sort, this should keep the system quiet and cool enough :)

Thanks for your suggestion though ;)
