asked the same question a couple of days ago but got low visibility so here it is
i was fixing a friends drive that was missing boot files for windows it wouldn't boot into windows 8 due to it missing winload.efi. in the process of trying to fix it i wiped 3 partition (the drive had 7 only one contained all his data the others had the boot,sony and some windows recovery tools) 2 partitions i wiped and merged with the main data block where recovery tool since they weren't needed the other one was a 200mb that i assumed was unnecessary as i could see all the necessary partitions where already there anyway when i rebooted the pc containing both my own drive and my friends ( i was using my computers work environment to access the files) windows did an automatic repair on the drive and restarted again now the drive wont show up anywhere including disc manager and any time i boot my pc the drive makes a long dull beep then a loud high pitched beep. preferably i would like to fix it here without needing to send it anywhere but if i have to i will only as a last resort but. personally i think the small partition was the drives drivers and now i dont know how to install them back
