Menu Bar Question

So in essence in Windows 7 when you open a window you could get the "file" "edit" etc. How do I get that back in Windows 8?

Your going to have download a program to get it back because at this point in time we are all still waiting for the update that will bring it back. I have 2 programs that you might be interested:

1. Classic shell. It not only brings back the start menu, but options to customize it and some cool features as well:

I have Classic Shell but cannot figure out how to get the menu bar option back...Care to assist? or should i refer to the classicshell website?

How do I show the status bar in Windows Explorer?

Windows 7: Go to the View menu and check the Status Bar item.

Windows 8: The status bar is implemented by Classic Shell. Enable it from the Status Bar tab in the Classic Explorer settings.
You may want to disable the built-in status bar from Explorer's Folder Options dialog. The setting is in the View tab.

Sadly No. The menus still look like Office 2013 with the ribbon. Really frustrating
