Hey guys, lately I have been into building custom computers and have a pretty good understanding of all of the parts needed, however I still would love you input on what parts to buy
I'm looking to build a nice fast, powerful computer, I will not be using it to play games.
I am preferably looking for an AMD mini Mobo, with obviously one of the new AMD GPUs, please help me out by piecing the Mobo and GPU, and what exactly is an APU? Is this necessary because it is not used for gaming? Also, what type of Ram, ( a buddy told me 1600 over 1333 is just a marketing scam)

And if you know any "coming soon" release dates let me know

Thanks for your input

Basically, an APU is simply a CPU with integrated graphics. AMD's APUs aren't all that fantastic unless you really don't have space for an actual Graphics Card. Their APUs are now used in AIO PCs like the Gigabyte Brix. But if you do have space, than a low end CPU+low end GPU is still better.

But since you said that you're not using this PC to game, then maybe the APU would be useful for you
