Hello and Good Day to All - My son is wanting to upgrade his CPU on his G41MXE Foxconn mobo, that he got for Christmas in 2012. He recently went out and purchased a "Used" - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 SLB9J 3.0GHz/6M/1333GHz for $20.00 at our local comp repair store, which he did check on the Foxconn website to see if it was compatible before he bought - and it is I checked too. I caught him just in time before he swapped out the CPU's, and told him to wait before he messes things up. Well, his mobo now is running an Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 SLA95 2.20GHz/2M/800MHz, with a matched pair of Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3-1066 (PC3 8500) Dual Channel Kit Model CT2KIT25664BA1067. Will he have to upgrade is memory to 1333 as well? Thanks For Your Time in Advanced, to all that answer...

DDR3-1066 is fine with E8400.

Thanks for your help Calvin7. I received the E8400 CPU yesterday and installed it, it's working great and with no bugging or hiccups. Thanks Again & Enjoy your weekend...
