Hi all! This is my first time building a pc ever and I really need some help. I have a $1300 dollar budget, but I could go up to $1400(even though I prefer not to). I already have a mouse, but a monitor and keyboard are required.I'd also like to have 8gb of ram and as best graphics as possible. Windows 8 as well as usb ports, cd drive, etc. would all be appreciated. Also about 1tb of storage would be great.

That's pretty much it! I'm really new to this and don't know much about motherboards, cases, power supplies, and most other internals. If someone could help me make a build it'd be much appreciated. I just want to get the most possible out of my budget. :)

You probably should if you're going to be playing some of the newer games like BF4, Titanfall, etc, as Windows 7 is known to have frame rate issues, and compatibility issues with some of the newer games.

Great thanks man never knew that! I've never done this before so it's good to have advice. I'm just worried I'm not gonna know how to build it! :kikou:

If you're new to building PC's, go to a youtube channel called "LinusTechTips" , he gives you some pretty good advice to new builders. They are also plenty of videos online of people showing you how to build them. Enjoy!

;)  Thank you so much! Oh I actually have one more question... Will I have to buy my own speakers separately to have audio? B/c I researched that Asus monitor and it says "speakers not included"

If it says that, than yes. Thankfully, there are some good speakers you can get for a cheap price.

Yes, it is compatible. You just have to download a software update for the keyboard on Microsoft's website. Here's the link for the keyboard download: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/Co...
