I am just looking to see if anybody has had great or bad luck with any of these components or would have any recommendations on what I should swap with. This is my first build, money is not a huge issue. My friends have convinced me to sell my consoles and go for pc and I figured what better way to get into it than to build my own. Thanks for any help I get.

Solution
Don't really need 1000w. If you not having a second graphic card in the next year or so, no point of that power supply. Go for a 650W power supply.
For gaming i7 is nice to have but not needed. i5 4670k is enough.

I am spending a good bit on this, but I am hoping that I would not have to upgrade anything for the next few years with the setup I have. I want to be able to play most games on max setting or near max and not have it slow down or lag on me. I play skyrim, arma, flight simulators. Wife is obsessed with sims games, and they usually take a lot to play.
