Hello all,

I am looking for some advice on what Mechanical keyboard to get. As the title suggests I am looking for MX Brown switches, I would also like a white back-light (I will settle for blue.)
I don't need any special keys or macros or anything like that and I live in the UK.

I have found the 'Gigabyte Aivia Osmium' but it seems a little big and OTT for my needs. I also found the 'Ducky Shine 3' which is pretty much everything I could ask for, (especially the lighting settings and upgradable firmware) but I can't yet persuade myself to part with £140 for it. The 'Corsair Vengeance K70' was another that I found, and seems to be rated highly, but it does not have the configuration of switch and back-light that I am interested in.

So which of the 2 above would you pick? Is the ducky worth the extra £40? Or do you have any other suggestions for me to consider?

Thanks in advance for any help given,
Kind Regards

I have two other alternatives for you:
Logitech G710+: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-G710-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B00CM1TTGG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398658242&sr=8-1&keywords=logitech+g710
It comes in MX Browns with white LED backlighting. There is a detachable wrist rest included and 6 macro keys in case you ever want to use them. It also comes with pre-installed o-rings to make it quieter than normal Browns.

The second option is the CM Storm Quickfire Ultimate: http://www.ebuyer.com/584049-cooler-master-cm-storm-quick-fire-ultimate-mechanical-gaming-keyboard-brown-sgk-4011-gkcm1-uk
This one comes in MX Browns with white LED backlighting. It's basically a no-frill basic keyboard with backlighting at an appealing price.

The Corsair K70 is a good board, but it unfortunately does not come in the combination you want.

The Ducky Shine 3 is a great board, and even though it is expensive, it's very high quality (better quality than Corsair, Cooler Master, and Logitech) and has some neat backlighting options.

Thanks for the response, I'm not a fan of logitec gear, had some bad experiences. The cooler master looks good, but the link you gave has a red backlight, and I can't find one with the blue backlight shown in the picture.

Thank you for all of the help guys, i think i will push the boat out and get the ducky, i like the minimalist design and besides i don't need the extras that come with the others. For anyone having the same problem, the osmium is just as good a choice, as are the corsair models, they are just not for me, and the Trigger Z looks good if not for the limited KRO.

Thank you all again.
