Good suggestion above, that would have been my suggestion.

For your build, I wouldn't bother even getting a CPU cooler, especially $200 worth for a CPU that can't even overclock, the CPU will barely even get "hot". Why not get a new graphics card or upgrade your memory?

go for a be quiet dark rock 3, its a quiet and the best looking cpu cooler out there on the market, you can buy one on ncix plus its $50

The hyper 212 is about half the price and will keep-up with the dark rock 3...the OP is looking to put that over a core i5 so even a TX3 will be overkill...really...he'd better save is money and upgrade something else along with the 212 like he could get an SSD or even better he could get the other 4gb of RAM he is missing instead...

of course, i used a hyper 212 evo but he said his budget is $100 so why not, and the dark rock 3 is much better looking better performing and much more silent than the 212 evo, i own both of the coolers

i can hardly imagine what would be more quiet than my hyper 212 even the fan on my PSU is louder...i can't hear it even under full load and i run an highly overclocked FX-8320 under that thing... anyway :)  the rock 3 sure does look a little better tho!

But my guess is that the OP didn't realised his CPU wasn't meant for overclocking and his money would be much better spend somewhere else on his system like a new GPU or more RAM or an SSD as stated earlier...

yep, i think he should just throw on a stock cooler on there and spend that extra money on a gpu

no point even considering a CPU cooler, it'll be pointless and with no benefit, the CPU can run just fine with the stock cooler.

the CPU will not be getting hot enough to really need one, though if you are really keen to have one a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is what you want, for around $30, though the CPU is not going to be damaged with the stock cooler, nor get to a "hot" temperature.

since you dont have a haswell, i really dont see a point of getting a really expensive cpu cooler, so as unknownofprob said get the hyper 212 evo if your really concerned, a cpu cooler also may increase the life span of your cpu and keep it in good shape

Be careful overclocking with the cheap power supply.
