usb hub to build into desk?!

I'm looking for a hub that I can use to build into my desk. I'll be hiding this hub underneath my keyboard slightly. It's use is to plug in anything I need without having cables running around.
Including my keyboard/mouse.

I'd like to find a hub that can plug into my computer internally so to reduce the chance of any latency that may be caused by using a usb port.

While asking this I am curious to know if plugging a hub into a different port can affect any performance. IE: if I plug into the chassis usb ports versus the motherboard ports. Which is the main reason I'd like to be able to plug directly into the motherboard so I don't experience any issues at all and this hub acts as it's own unit, not relying on a usb port it plugs into.

So, USB hub to place into desk that plugs directly into motherboard. Perhaps also separate power? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Not sure that's what OP wants for this since he hasn't clarified after all this time so I'm going to take a guess and say that's not what he wants.

Sorry, Did not get notified this post was replied to. The purpose of this was so I could plug certain things into the hub that you typically cannot plug into USB hubs themselves. IE I've noticed issues attempted to plug things like wireless adapters. Now I'm not saying I will be doing that. Also, for latency purposes. But, I'd like what is built into the desk to have the ability to be directly into the motherboard as if it is no different than an extended chassis USB port.
So, basically even just a long cable that plugs directly into the motherboard with several USBs on the end that will be connected to plates in various locations built into a desk, as if the desk was part of the chassis. I already managed to add my power switch to the desk. The cable would have to be about 8 foot for some parts.

For the time being I will be using USB hubs. I found a few powered ones I like. But, in the future I would highly prefer this to plug directly into my motherboard. So, that once I finish my next desk design I can implement things even further.
Edit: I should add in the future I would also rather have those ports powered externally from the motherboard. That would make things a lot more complicated to accomplish I'm sure.
I could probably make this myself. But, I prefer to purchase something rather than risk it.

I have looked into those panels. But, the problem is finding long enough cables. I'll probably have to make my own at some point.

The plan I have is to actually have the plugs in the desk (it is a hallow desk) this way I can hide excess rather than have it dangling.

Not all of the pockets will have the same setup. Some will just be for power or routing.
Frame will probably be hallow steal. This way I can run the cables down the legs. Tower will sit so the window is just above the desk on one of the sides. The tabletop won't matter as much since the frame will have plenty of support. It will be covered with formica though.
