0xc000007b error when starting planetside 2

Whenever I press play on planetside 2 it gives me the error the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click ok to close the application. and ive been having this error since I installed windows 8.1. I have looked for solutions every where but none of them seem to work.

I have a custom pc:
amd fx 6300
gpu:r9 270x
motherboard:Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
PSU:Evga 500W

and I am running 64bit windows 8.1

it would be great if somebody could give me a fix to this

yeah I tried to install all the runtimes that didn't work

and I tried the dll file thing but I don't know what he means by the second one cause the game im trying to play doesn't use steam
I think its got something to do with windows 8 because it started as soon as I installed windows 8
and one of my friends that has windows 8 is getting the same problem

check for the game files they could be corrupt and do you and your friend use the same win 8 cd for the os on both system .

no we had separate ones and I tried reinstalling the game 3 times already

check if yours is not having a scratch under it borrow is cd to see how it goes in your system using your cd keys to validate the os .

the thing is I don't what to reinstall it because I have a lot of very important data
which is too much too back up
