I am looking at getting the Asus Maximus VI Formula mother board for my now pc build, and it has this hybrid air/liquid cooling feature on it that I don't understand. Asus calls it the "Crosschill" technology and I'm confused as to what it does. It looks like you can cool your motherboard...I'm not really sure. Is that a thing? And if so does it really do anything or what is it used for?

An as in depth response as possible to this technology would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!

It is the chipset cooling, supposed to be good for max OC. There is nothing you do with it. Basically a hybrid cooler!

It has a water block on the motherboard that covers the MOSFETs for people who use custom water cooling. that's all it is.
