Monitor loads to black screen when I turn PC on unless....

....the monitor is turned OFF first. If it is, turn on the monitor after the PC has started up and hey presto - there is the sign in page. But why does it do this? I'd like to fix this because I'm getting a new PC + monitor soon and I want to sell this PC. Apart from this it is a great PC with absolutely no problems.

The monitor in question is a: iiyama prolite e2208hds

What happens when you try a different monitor? If a different monitor works just fine, it's just your IIyama monitor and GPU not playing well together. You can also try tweaking with your monitor's settings. But since every monitor has different settings, i cant help you with that.
