I'm looking for a good monitor under $200, preferably around the $200 price range. Preferably I would want it to be a 24 inch monitor. It will be used for PC gaming mainly.

I'm currently looking at the BenQ RL2455HM. Do you think it's a good choice? I've heard some good things about it, but some people complain about color bleeding/text issues, but also people saying if you use the right settings you won't have issues like that.

Are you fine with 23"? I would highly recommend an IPS monitor for the best image quality. You really won't notice a difference between 1ms and 5ms response time, but you definitely will notice the better image quality and viewing angles. Here is the link to the 23" 1080p IPS monitor: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vs239hp

If you are using the monitor for gaming and you have SLI or Crossfire in your rig or your card can push more than 60FPS to your monitor I would suggest getting a 120HZ or 144HZ monitor. I am in the process of getting the ASUS VG248QE. I get screen tearing because I have 2xGTX 660's OC edition and almost all games I play get 60+ FPS. I deff dont want to have to use VSYNC, its shotty and causes more headaches then seeing those screen tears.

Trust me, I have already scoured the internet reading about this. Save another 100$ and get a ASUS or BenQ 144hz monitor, from what I've red you wont regret the decision. I bought a 27 inch BenQ and its 60HZ with a 4MS response time, its a great monitor but not for gaming, so now I have to spend another 300$ and get a 144hz monitor, but its worth it IMO.

NcHawk17 beat me to my answer. I have the ASUS VG248QE, and it is nice. I would recommend it for gaming. Otherwise, I would recommend a 23 or 24" Dell Ultra Sharp monitor.
