Hey all,
A while ago my PC died so I decided to build a new one from scratch. With this, included a brand new hard drive.
However, since my case supports a lot of hard drives I decided to go ahead and put my old hard drive in, along with the new one that I already had.
I put the hard drive in the case, connected it to the PSU and MOBO and then when I turned my PC on I was presented with an awful loud clicking noise coming from my second hard drive (the one I just installed), it sounded like the hard drive was being written to but the sound amplified.
My PC refused to boot past the Gigabyte splash screen, where it gives the options to go into BIOS setup etc. I then decided to remove the hard drive that I had just installed so I could then boot my PC with no problems.
It may be important to note that this hard drive already has Windows on it, but I'm not sure if that's would be a reason for this happening as it seems like an internal problem with the hard drive
It's not a huge issue but I'd be really grateful if I could get the hard drive to work again. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
