lately ive been noticing that my rig has been running quite warm sitting at roughly 36 C with just skype and steam open and doing nothing. I'm running a Intel i7 3820 with a Coolermaster Seidon 120M cpu cooler with its rad sandwiched between 2 120mm fans on the highest speed. ive checked if it was dirt and i cant find any, i try to clean the dust out every 2 weeks roughly. only thing ive noticed is the graphics card feeling really really warm to the touch.

Your CPU hasn't broken a sweat at 36c. Ideally temperatures at or below ~75-80 is where you want to cap. Most processor will start throttling at 100c which is way too hot for a processor.

Case and point: You have nothing to worry about. :)

Graphics cards and CPUs are made to run until around 100C give or take when under max load you want to be below 80C ideally; 36 is really cool for a CPU to run at, you are fine and they get warm, you don't need to touch them. And shouldn't unless you're earthed, static can render parts useless.
