Hello,

I am in the market for a new GPU and this new R7 265 from MSI looks like it might fit the bill.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127790

My question is.. will my Corsair CX500M PSU be able to run this GPU while it is being heavily stressed by newer games? I can't seem to find power requirements (or reviews for that matter) anywhere. My system specs are -

ASRock Z77 Pro3
i5 3330S
8 GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600
WD Blue SATAIII 6Gb/s 7200rpm hard drive
Onboard Sound
Corsair CX500M 500 Watt PSU (38 amps on the 12v)
(plus the GPU in question)

Enough power for all of that you think? Thanks for responding :)

Thanks to both of you guys for taking the time to answer my question. Do either of you have any experience with this R7 265 card in terms of performance? It obviously isn't a top end card, but can it get by on most newer games on high settings, not necessarily ultra, and definitely not Crysis3? (of course :p)

Also, as far as I can tell, this GPU only needs one 6-pin.. I'm unclear as to what pro1ness means about an 'extra' 6-pin. Thanks again for your time.

do you have the 6-pin connector to plug it in to?

Yes, the CX500M PSU comes with two 6+2-pin PCIe plugs if that's what you're talking about. So I think I'm good to go :)

Thanks again, guys!
