Hello friends, i recently made a thread about a gaming laptop, but have foregone that idea and am now going to make a desktop. This would be my first build as I am relatively new to the computer scene. I currently have chosen some parts of the build but would like some help finding the rest of the build. I think what i have so far works together but im not 100% sure, and the remaining parts i dont really have any idea what to pick, or how to pick them.
Here is what I have so far http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3zJqZ

If there are parts that are better for a cheaper or even very slightly more expensive i would probably be willing to upgrade the pay.

All that should be left is a Case, RAM, and Power Supply.

Thanks in advance for looking and for suggestions

If you are newbie i would sugest to buy a non k cpu version, that way u can buy a better graphics (card cheaper psu, cheaper mobo cause u wont need z series if u go with non k, and u wont need aftermarket cooler without oc) , its better for gaming, a overclocked cpu wont boost your performance by much. I would suggest gtx770/r9 280x
Ram go with 2x4gb 1600mhz cl9 ( g skill corsair or kingston)
Case, you can get some aerocool ones, i personally have one and love it, just buy one with space for future gpu upgrades and good cable management.
With that build a 550w is enough, but if you want headroom go for 650w. XFX or corsair are good brands, except corsair cx series. There are other good brand but i prefer those!

Do you have any suggestions for alternatives for the cpu and mobo? how much would the downgrade from "k" be? Also, i have a microcenter locally so i could get it for $180 instead of the $130 it shows on pcpicker if that makes any difference.
I looked at the i5-4570 and its only $20 less, but im thinking that the money saving would be in the mobo also. What do you think?

Im using an I5-4570 and no complains :D handles every game, and no bottlenect with r9 280x/gtx770
You would be saving in mobo and in aftermarket cooler as u wont need (hyper 212 evo)
And you could use it for much better GPU, if you are in a budget, get gtx 760, if u can, get the gtx 770 (ill probably switch mine 280x for 770 either cause r9 280x gpus have a lot of artifacts problemms)
IMHO, if you want best gaming for 1-3 years, waste less on cpu, mobo, and cooler and get the gtx 770, if you cant get gtx 760 wich is already much better than 750ti. Get 550w psu, for 7070 if you want to be saffer grab a 650w one, but im running r9 280x wich is more power hungry than 770 easilly, and im using XFX 550w psu.
