I'm almost certain an i7 4770k and a 770 plus all the other essentials won't set you back $1400.
If you did however put it altogether on PCpartpicker, do you mind sending me the build?

I find it hard to believe this would be a lower price, they would then be losing money.

We save money by downgrading the CPU because the performance difference is non-existent between the i7 and i5 for gaming, get a GTX 780 instead of the 770, get a 750W Corsair 80+ Gold semi-modular because it's $5 more than the 650W one, keep the rest of your parts because they're all very good, and by the end of it, you have about $100 to spare, so I can throw in a 240GB SSD.

It's still at about $1400 with the OS, and will run any game at Ultra today.

AgenTran, The CSM series PSUs from Corsair (apart from the 650w unit which uses a different OEM form the others) are not that great. They use the same low quality capacitors from the CX units and do not like heat at all. I would go with an option from XFX, Antec, Seasonic. 650w is more than enough for that build.

I didn't know this, I thought that only the CX-series used low-end capacitors. I won't recommend this Power Supply anymore in the future (I usually go with XFX/Seasonic or Antec anyway), but thanks for letting me know.

Noted, thank you.
Are there any other low-quality power supplies I should be aware of?

Not from the Big name manufacturers.

Many people like to recommend EVGA, but the B and NEX-B series are not great. About on par with the Corsair CX. The other EVGA units are great though.

As I'm sure you know, Thermaltake is generally not recommended even though they are popular.

Cooler master has always made crap PSUs, but now their Silent Pro line are good and i line is half decent. Generally, though, there is better stuff available for the price and these Coolermaster units don't really get recommended much.
