Hello everybody. I have a problem....Weeeell, Okay i do have a problem.

I just bought myself BF4 50% on SALE! (amazing) and i installed it via Origin (duuh) updated it and used AMD Gaming Evolved to optimize the game for my computer (hardware)
And now you see, the AMD Gaming Evolved optimized it for medium i thinkz, and i played fine no stutter or ANYTHING. But you know i wanted MOAR. SO i turned up the graphics to High and it was fine, fine, fine & FINE. And (this is the part where i got stupid) i freeking used Amd gaming evolved again to optimize, and it turned down to medium, and if i went ingame and tried to set it to high/ultra EVEN low it crashed. Fixed this by uninstalling AMD gaming evolved (WICH i dont recommend to anyone) but now i get freezes for 1 second 30 times in singleplayer and multiplayer EVERY time i play, no matter what the graphics are set to, High, dont matter, LOW, dont matter, Medium, Dont matter. It is lagging all the time now, tried the "repair" in origin, updated/uninstalling drivers for GPU and i need to know if my gaming rig is causing the problem/ram gpu or CPU. Or if it is someting i missed along the way.

I appreciate all the help i can get. Just hollah at me and i will give you the information you need.

My gaming rig is:

GPU: Sapphire XFX HD 6870 X2 (crossfire x)
Current driver are: 13.4 CCC
Mobo: ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3, Socket-AM3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
Ram: Corsair Vengeance? DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9 (Only 4 gb)
Bf4 is running on my SSD disk. Windows 8 PRO

What do you mean crossfire?

Like i wrote, the first time i ran the game with High graphics it played smoothly. And now even in Medium it laggs.

Yes, i have read/heard that even 8 gig ram is not enough.

Hey, thanks for the reply!

Umh. I kinda did update the drivers...But instead of improve my performance it did actually bottleneck it more. So i uninstalled and installed previous drivers that worked better. But i still have micro freezes all the time!

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Hey, Thanks for the reply!

Yes indeed! but the thing is i played fine in Graphics settings: HIGH

And for some silly reason now i get micro freezes all the time. AND i even lagg in a Game that is called: HON= Heroes Of Newerth and i have never EVER lagged there before, So i am maybe wondering if this is caused by some drivers?

Anyone have some solution/suggestions that i could try out?

Yes! Sometimes Drivers ARE faulty. Try out Beta drivers they ought to work better sometimes.

Heheheheheheheh, fucking hell. Fixed it, tried beta. It did not work. And then i found out that the driver i had installed (13.4) was somewhat faulty. Had not installed correctly or something, so i upgraded to 14.4 and it lagged, Then i used AMD driver removal software, installed 13.4 and plays SMOOOTHLY on bf4 with HIGH. Btw. When i launched bf4 it came up with a warning saying i had an old driver, and it would be wise to upgrade. But i could proceed to play if i wanted. And it seems that if you have 6870 in crossfire, "i dont know if this matters" but then you should REALLY choose old ati drivers (CCC). peace And thanks for all the reply

I seem to be having a similar issue.. I couldn't pinpoint the problem either.. I usually play on Ultra; though I tried reducing to HIGH, then MEDIUM, and I still get the same issue.. same frequency as well. Here's my setup:

GPU: eVGA nVidia GeForce 660 GTX 2 GB GDDR5
Current driver are: 344.60
Mobo: MSI 870-G45 (MS-7599) Socket-AM3+
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black 3.2 Ghz Quad Core Deneb Black Edition
Ram: Kingston DDR3 1600MHz 4GB PC-12800 x2 + Kingston DDR3 1600MHz 4 GB PC-10700 x2 (16 GB total)
Bf4 is running on my WD Black Sata III 500 GB HDD ... Windows 7 SP1 Professional 64-bit

I'm having the same problem, with similar hardware.
I thought the update/maintenance they did the other night fixed it, but it didn't.

I'm hoping you've managed to fix it since you last posted?
