SSHD with best random access

I find ssd too expensive and my usb 3.0 external hdd too slow.

Could you give me some tip for new fastest possible hybrid hdd ?

My choice could be

If you use the SSHD for the OS, yes it is other way to go, but after you boot up the PC, then it is not much better than traditional mechanical hard drives. The small SSD is only for the cache.

st1000dx001 is a hybrid drive with 8gb SSD used as cache and spins at 7200rpm . Its also available in 2gb versions (the 4gb version is not 7200rpm's)

so we got 3 options, what is the fastest ?
1. hybrid SSHD
2. Intel's RST - SDD used as cache + external usb 3.0 hdd
3. internal SATA3 hdd
