Hey there folks.

I have been having terrible problems with my desktop wireless connectivity over the last month or so - dropping out every 20mins or so. The most frustrating thing is that this internet problem occurs only on this computer - no other devices are suffering at all (so not the ISP??)

So here is a timeline of events:

- I have been using a belkin wireless adapter for over a year with no problems then about a month ago i started getting sporadic jumps in ping (to 200/300) while gaming.
- Thinking that there was an issue with the adaptor a bough a new USB-AC53 asus wireless adapter (supports 802.11ac)
- I installed the latest drivers from the manufacturers website.
- Cannot hold internet connectivity - internet is fine (or rather comparably fine) when doing single internet required aplication such as surfing the web (though multiple tabs will cause discon.). Any internet multitasking - boom - disoconnect.
- uninstalled the adapter drivers, unistalled the device, reinstalled the device and the latest drivers. Still no fix
- Purchased new router (supports 802.11ac), still no fix
- Did the ipconfig release and renew trick, no fix
- virus scan using AVG - nothing detected

A few details:

- I am the only one using the internet
- when i troubleshoot the disconnection problem i get a number or messages:

* There may be a problem with the adapter driver for Wifi2
** There is a problem with the defult gateway
*** The ethernet cable is not connected (so the computer fails to recognise the presence of the wireless adapter - no LED light on the device when i check at this point)

Here is my ipconfig/all:

Please help me. Your help would be much apprecieated.

Thanks

Joe

I was only getting these random jumps in ping for a short period of time. The ping jumps were NOT accompanied by disconnection. Now on the other hand i have a stable ping but i get frequent disconnection (limited). I am pretty sure the ISP is not the problem here since when my two brothers were home from uni over easter they had no internet issues (they were not downloading btw).
