GA-P35-DS4 suddenly cannot set host frequency

Hello,

I've turned on my rig today only to learn that my CPU runs at 267 x 8 = 2136 instead of 400 x 8 = 3200 which I had set in BIOS for a long, long period of time (stable overclock, without any problems).

So I went to BIOS to investigate only to find that it's set to 400 x 8. I've changed it to 390 x 8, reboot, still = 267 x 8.

I've reset to defaults and overclocked back to my old settings - still this strange behavior persists. It seems that no settings in overclocking section of BIOS are being used, regardless of what I set. PC boots up like its ignoring them.

And I haven't changed anything in BIOS to introduce this strange behavior. It just happened. No blue screens, no random reboots. I just finished working yesterday with a normal shutdown, and turned it on today, only to learn that I'm back to stock 0_o

Any ideas?

It's very strange, because after fiddling with different overclock settings, resetting everything, I went back to old parameters that used to work. There was still no overclock, and since I had to leave I thought about simply cutting the power from PSU (to see if it'll do anything later or). After I got back home and plugged the socket, pc booted up respecting every setting from my last (old) config.

It didn't reset every setting like it would do after clearing cmos. It just went back to respect overclock settings that were set in bios. Pretty weird.
