so my pc makes an occasional clicking noise every couple of minutes...its random. i llooked inside my pc and none of the wires were hitting the case fans or my stock cooler. i think my gpu is fine aswell. there may be debris and dust inside my case but im about to clean it thoroughly and i doubt that is the cause because i put it right side up, upside down and shaked it carefullyLOL. i ran a diagnostic test on my hdd for wd site and it all seemed fine. im wondering what this could be and how i could test it? is it my powersupply? im so confused
btw its 3 year old pc im in for a new build but im giving this pc to my brother to play WoW , LoL and what not.
it clicks as fast as like a machine gunishhhh like constant clicks than stops after a couple seconds.

Run a few sata cables out side of your computer and hook up your hard drive externally and use your computer normally. Hard drives make that sound when they are on their way out.

Yeah your HDD has an Arm inside of it that is moving at super fast speeds when storing data or sending stored data to the RAM so if it's going bad than it might make that clicking noise that you stated.

I've had a clicking HDD in my PC for almost 2 years now. Every now and then, I'll hear a rapid clicking noise. I've added a backup and I constantly back it up. Also, similar to you, no diagnostic tools are registering any errors. Some Hard drives have clicky tendencies and are usually okay. It would be a very good idea to back up any hard drive anyways, and in this situation I would suggest nothing less.
