I have some extra money and I'm looking to get a 2k monitor to game on. I do a lot of pc games and explore a lot of different titles. I currently have two ASUS vs247h-p monitors, and I want a third monitor. I don't use them in surround and I really don't plan to, I do a lot of website and graphic design/editing and use them for that. I'm just looking to play in a better resolution so I can get more out of the games I play. I don't think that 4k is really developed enough to invest in that yet, but I figured that because 4k is advancing so fast, that 2k should really be somewhere by now. If 4k is really more advised, then I suppose I could do that too. The size I'm looking for is 24-26 inches, also.
My rig has two EVGA 770 SC's, an i7 4770k, 16Gb 2133Mhz memory, and the motherboard is a gigabyte UD4H. any recommendations?

Thanks,
Ghost.

You should avoid using 2K since it doesn't really describe anything specific: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2K_%28resolution%29

You probably won't be able to drive a 3840x2160 display very well with the two 770's, it's very similar to driving 4 1920x1080 monitors. For example: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pq321q-4k-gaming,3620-6.html . . . http://legitreviews.com/images/reviews/2210/metro-ll.png . . . Take a look at the 5760x1080, which is only 75% of the pixels of a 4K screen.

Personally I would wait until a variable refresh rate (G-Sync/FreeSync) monitor becomes widely available than buy a monitor now. Not having to deal with screen tearing or V-Sync delays is a pretty huge deal.
