I will assume that the windows 7 did not initiate - and that windows 8 is still available if you boot from the hard drive.

To make your CD drive function as a boot - Go into bios. Set the CD rom as the first boot option. Boot into the CD.

Assuming this fails - try booting from the CD on another machine - don't worry it won't immediately install windows 7. If the second machine boots off the CD - then nothing is wrong with the CD.

So - if the first step fails and the second step succeeds - you have a bootable disk that will not function in your laptop drive. Is the disk actually a DVD? I thought windows 7 was on a DVD format - but I could be wrong.

Regardless, You may want to use the following MS option:

to use a USB drive with the windows 7 ISO.

Best of luck.

@avarie Thanks for help but my main concern was to start my lappy with win 8 ,actually wot happen i was trying to reset my win 8 but dont know wot happen ,next time when i start ,it start showing "checking media fail" no bootable device detect .Now it may have two options
1.My boot priority has been changed or I just loose my geninue win 8 which i got in my laptop.
2.I want to bring my win 8 back .How can i do that .

Go into the bios and make sure that it can see the drive. if it can then, staying in the bios, go to the boot priority and make sure the drive is listed there and then reboot.
