I have an Sony DCR-PC101E PAL cam I cant play of any tape With any more!
When Im turning on the cam in VCR mode its making a beeping noise for a few Seconds and there is a yellow blincking play mark with a yellow stripe under it in the the middle of the LCD screen. I think it is the Eject symbol that blincks on the screen even the tape is inserted.
Any one who knows what this could be?

Best regards Tommy

Is there any other warning message or code? Not sure whether or not that is a moisture error or not. Remove the tape and leave the tape door open for an hour or so as this will let it dry out if there is a moisture problem. After the hour or so reinsert the tape and try playing it again. If it is the Eject symbol then you can try reattaching the battery and see if that helps. I have seen the eject problem with another model of a Sony camera and reseating the battery has helped. Just out of curiosity, do you remove the battery from the camera when it is not in use?

There is blincking C:31:23 up in the right corner on the LCD screen. I tried removeing the battery and the reset button, its now in front of a warm fan, but the camera hasnt been outside for several years. Couldt it be it doesnt sens the tape is inserted, I tried several tapes also!

One suggestion I have read (other people with the same issue) is to tap (smack, whack, etc.) the camera without a tape in it. It seems to have worked for some people. Source: http://www.camerahacker.com/Forums/DisplayComments.php?....

Another suggestion can be found here: http://wvstephens.blogspot.com/2008/05/sony-handycam-c3...
