MSI A88XM-E35 no video on board or pci-e

I just put together a new rig for a friend using:
MSI A88XM-E35
AMD 760K Richland 3.8Ghz (AD760KWOHLBOX)
Kingston Hyper X Blu 8 GB (2x4) 1600MHz
AMD Sapphire 7850 HD 2GB

I'm getting no video using any on-board slot (hdmi, dvi, vga) or using the gfx card (known good). Tried every combination of hooked-up/not hooked-up components, 1 stick of ram, no ram, no hdd, etc, re-seated everything including CPU and nothing. The only thing that concerns me (and this seems really odd to me) is that on MSI's website for this motherboard it says under the graphics section (where it talks about the pci-e slots) that video is "only support using an FM2+ APU." Does that mean I CANT get video on this board w/ this CPU?

760K Richland is not an APU and has no graphics. Onboard graphics require AMD A-Series APU.

I understand that but in regards to the PCI-E graphics not working?

I am seeing the same thing with my motherboard.
