I'm looking for a Liquid CPU Cooler for my i5-3570k to be OC'd up to at least 4.6GHz at around 40-50C under heavy load, and as low as possible when idle. Currently, it's being cooled by the Cooler Master T4 (smaller version of the Hyper 212) @ 4.2GHz running around 60-70C, 35-45C idle. I've never done Liquid Cooling, but the closed loop setups look incredibly easy and well worth it. I've seen a lot of Corsair H100i's in the HAF X (top mounted) in particular, but if there are better recommendations, I'd like to hear from you guys.

My 2500k is currently at 4.7 and hits 55'c full load using a Corsair H105 (I run the fans on a silent PWM profile though). Ivy is a little hotter I think, but I think your temperature requirements are quite optimistic for any cooler short of a proper water cooling loop.

There are a few alternatives to the Corsair H line...but theyre pretty much scale to RAD/FAN size. I'd recommend the H100i, fantastic cooler.

PS: I have an H60 (with push config) with my 3570K...even with a H100i, I think 50C is going to be hard to achieve under load.

You are right about closed loop systems being easy and worth it. Just upgraded from the T4 to the Antec H20. I'm amazed, I was looking at the Corsair 80i/100i, but they were sold out. Also getting a single fan radiator seems like a better choice in case you decide to get another one for your GPU/RAM, just saves space. I'm never going to use air cooling again. If you do nothing but OC, then get the 100i or better.
