Hey!

My Computer was working fine until I packed it yesterday and moved it to another location. First thing I noticed after assembly was that the monitor screen was black. I opened the case, only to notice that the damned cpu_led was red.

Every fan in the computer runs smoothly, hard drives are running and all the wires are tightly connected.

Now i saw MANY other threads about this problem but none of the solutions in them worked. Thus far I've tried:

- Taking RAM and GPU out and booting
- Cleaning the CMOS
- Detaching all parts expect CPU and booting
- Tried using different power cable
- I cleaned the computer from dust
- Tried booting with only one ram stick
- Tried using different monitor

Thats all about it. I haven't tried anything with the CPU yet and I haven't touched the hardware after assembly, so I can't believe there would be any bent pins anywhere either.

Hope I was being clear enough and I woudn't post this if I hadn't tried all the solutions I found on internet.

You said you move the pc to other location, do you need to drive during that time ? If you did. You may need reseat loose the pc components, because they may loose during the moving.

I took all the components out and reseated them, but it didin't fix the problem.

I also tried resetting the bios by taking the CMOS out for three minutes. Aagh. Nothing seems to work! :pfff:

Sounds basic but if you haven't tried re-seating the CPU its start. If when the PC was first assembled the CPU holding arm Locking thing was teetering on the edge of the clip it may have bounced off during transit. I've got the same MOBO and a similar thing happened when first booting.
