Water cooled or aircooled for mini ITX

Hi all,

I am building the following system
Case: Inwin901, (allows for 1 x 90mm exhaust fan or 120mm water cooler, + 1 x 120mm intake fan)
MB: Maximus IV Impact,
CPU: i7 4770k
GPU: ASUS GTX 770 2GB

As it’s a big GPU, small case, the airflow is restricted from 120mm intake fan.

Now for CPU cooling I can see two options
A) Corsair H60 water-cooling
B) Low profile CPU heat sink and external 90mm fan

The way I understand it is that with option B you have two fans (CPU + external) thus allowing airflow through the case. But with option A, you only have one static pressure fan on the rad of the H60. As this is probably ok for the CPU I am concerned about overall flow through the case.

Which option above is better do you think?

Hi nightowl, thanks for your reply. I want to avoid an external cooler. With the inWin901 case one is paying more for appearence of the case rather than cooling ability. In my opinion an external cooler would not look good.

So my question is: is a cosair H60 better (H80i won’t fit) than a low profile cooler like the Thermalright 200R + 90mm external fan
