Hi, I have recently upgraded my old GT630 to a Radeon 5770 ASUS edition. I had been using Windows XP and playing Crysis 2 at 50FPS, and all my other games smooth. After Upgrading to Windows 8 all my games are running badly. I would be looking into a corner in Crysis 2 and be getting 60+FPS, as soon as I turn around it'll drop into the 20s. Is this a Driver Issue? I have used driver sweeper and no success. Thanks

Depends. What CPU do you have? Did you do a clean install or an in place upgrade to Windows 8?

I have an AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+ OC to 2.6ghz, which I know is low end, but on Windows XP Crysis 2 ran fine. I also did a clean install of Windows 8

...way too weak of a CPU. Really shocked you're getting as good performance as you are claiming.

Windows Vista/7/8 are simply more demanding then XP, and your CPU is downright ancient now.

I agree with gamer. I think you should start looking into a full system upgrade (you can keep that new GPU of course). Your windows 8 license should transfer to a new PC.

Thanks, but this is also happening in BlackLight Retribution even on 800x600 res. I'm not sure what to do, just installed new AMD drivers and now improvement at all :(  Also the same in Bad Company 2
