Hello Internet :)

Simple question, which PSU you is better, the XFX P1-750X-XXB9 or the Corsair RM 650W . By better I mean build quality, quietness and overall performance.

Thanks for you help In advance.

So is there something different about the 650w then?

The 650w CSM PSU by Corsair is made with a different OEM than the others in the line. It is quality. It is also WAY more expensive than other equal quality 650w units so generally people don't but it either.

XFX is king of the market really. All of their units are just Seasonic PSUs with a different sticker on them and sold for less. AMAZING quality for value.

I agree not at the moment anyway. I will soon though as I will be adding another GPU, 2 more RAM sticks and 1 ssd.

There's 1 Hard drive too

You have no need for more RAM as it will not give ANY aditional gaming performance at all.

IF you are going to SLI the 760s, 650-700w will be great. You NEED a PSU that has 4 GPU power connectors though, Many 650w models do not.

An SSD uses 0 power at all and RAM uses no power really either. Neither will add more than 5w to the system.

How soon do you plan to buy another 760?

Okay cool I wont get any more RAM then. I plan to get the GPU about 2 weeks. And How much power would a safe OC need for the CPU and GPU's

what would you recommend air cooler wise?

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/zalman-cpu-cooler-cnps9900maxb

That cooler for example only costs 45 quid and will perform within 1 degree of an h100i. It does have an LED in the fan which some people don't like. It is also not super quiet but is definitely not as loud as the h80.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/phanteks-cpu-cooler-phtc12dxbk

This one will perform about the same as the h80i.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhu12pse2

This will also perform the same as the h80 but is quieter than the Phanteks.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhd14

This will outperform the h80 and even the first cooler I listed. This one performs identical to or better than an h100i and is VERY quiet.

If this is the case why are closed loop coolers so much more expensive when there are air coolers which perform equal to or greater than them?

Because they can be. Honestly, people buy them because they are "cool" or "interesting" or mostly to say " I have a water cooler". The real place for these type of units are in TINY build where there is a fan slot but very limited CPU cooler space like m-itx rigs. That is what they were originally designed for. Then they got really popular and companies realized they could sell beefed up versions for a HUGE premium as people think they are getting so much more cooling performance, when in reality you can buy a cheaper and quieter air cooler a the price point of most any closed loop cooler that will perform the same or better.
