Hi -

I have a small issue with the windows built-in remote control functionality... We have about 5 computers locally that we want remote controlled and most of that is working fine... the only issue.

Whenever a computer is remote controlled... it logouts the user that was logged in and displays the windows Login screen.. (since the user that is logged in and the user that is used to remote control are the same) .

What we need?

The screen to stay the same as it was before remote control and user to be logged in.. I know the user is still logged in...it just displays the switch user screen... but what we are expecting is something like TeamViewer where the user will be left back with the same screen as before and no logouts or switch user screen would be involved.

That is a standard issue with Remote Desktop, not much you can do about it. Only one user can have an active screen at a time.

Remote Desktop Assistance will allow two users to use a computer simultaneously if that is what you are after.

I didn't knew something like that existed... but another issue with this thing is that this has i have run the remote assistance box all the time (similar to TeamViewer), However what i am looking for is something would be hidden in the background and we are able to get in whenever we like... (Make Sense?

Getting on shaky grounds here, not sure what you are doing with this.

That said, there are solutions out there for monitoring the desktop view of remote computers. Generally used in call centers to track employee performance. These are not free.

Exactly... i am sure you don't want me to put my cards on the table... A free one i am aware of is Prey (preyproject.org) that lets get grab screenshots,ip address, running programs and wecam pic (free for up to 3 pcs).

But i am looking for more of remotecontrol feature.
