Right now i have a AMD radeon hd 4650 and want to upgrade it. I was told to upgrade to a nvidia GeForce 750 ti because it wouldlt bottleneck my CPU. I also have a 420W PSU in my pc.
Anyway, my question is as following: do i need to get a more powerful PSU for my pc to handle a 750 ti?

More about : graphics card psu

Not really, but I would get a bigger one, 650W-750W for possible SLI later, or just more headroom. Seaconic, Corsair XFX are all great brands.

It will work fine, no matter the psu most likely. But still, what model do you have? 420w is good enough unless you're using an fx 9590 clocked at 5ghz xD. I actually think that a gtx 750ti pulls even less power. But still I wouldn't expect you to be to close to 300w.

The 750TI has a relatively low power draw. As long as it is 80PLUS Silver or higher you should be fine. Plug and play!

I will upgrade my PSU later aswell but my pc would actually work with just 420W? Even with the new card?

Uhm...It's not 80PLUS. Is it really require tho? Wont it work just fine without 80PLUS?

Never buy a psu that doesn't have a certification. And always buy from trusted brands and do your research, just a tip :) .

But If it isn't 80+ bronze and by that i mean no certification at all you are at a much higher risk of destroying something because the power supply could be of very bad components, what model is it?

What the benefit of 80Plus is is that the PSU is tested for surge protection, efficiency, sustained wattage/voltage and safety/longevity.
