PSU recommendation needed

HI,

I recently bought a Corsair CS750M from Canada Computers in Vaughan Ontario. I am finding that the PSU/ PSU fan makes noise while just browsing or watching a movie. I will be returning the PSU, and have a choice of getting the same PSU replaced, or a different one. I paid $120 for the PSU, and thinking whether I should stick with the CS750M replacement, or CX750 instead?
If neither, could you recommend me what other PSU can i get instead from Canada computers. I am trying to stay with my $120 budget, if possible. I want to make sure that the power supply is efficient and quiet.

My specs are-

NZXT Phatom 530 case
Intel I5 4670K 3.40GHZ
Nvidia GTX760
CS750M PSU
Gigabyte GA H87N with wifi
8 gb RAM
1 TB Seagate hard drive
120GB Kingston V300 SSD

For $120, I would try going with Seasonic or XFX, as XFX is made by Seasonic.
  2. Go for this, take your pick of retailer: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1750bbefx
  3. Made by SEASONIC.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

Power Supply: Antec HCG M 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($69.99 @ NCIX US)
    Total: $69.99
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

  4. You can go for any of these..

Just don't buy the CS or CX series from Corsair. The HX and GS series from Corsair are good..

You can go for this one here..

  5. Sorry, as I mentioned, I am located in Vaughan Ontario in CANADA. Could you recommend me Canadian prices (I prefer Canada computers since i have to go there today and return/replace it)

    Thanks

Those are just the model numbers that you can use to go there and purchase. just for a comparison purposes..
Just note down the model numbers a few of the highest rated ones, then go to the shop, note down their respective prices, pick the one that costs least. and you got a great PSU..

Just make sure that they are similar (750 watts) since you got a 750 watts. that's why..
  7. How is EVGA Nova 750?

I don't have XFX, but do have Seasonic

    http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=33_1238_443&item_id=057135

However, Seasonic is only 650W Gold, but EVGA is 750

I plan to do future SLI so would 650W be ok? I went with 750W because I was recommended around 700W to do what I plan to do in the future.
  8. the Seasonic 650 W is just perfect for your build.. You must pick that one..
  9. Would it support future SLI? Nvidia itself recommends 500W minimum for its graphic card- GTX 760

  11. Thank you, I will go with TX750M then. Hopefully it resolves my problem now
  12. You are welcome.. :)
  13. The TX VERSION 2 are the good ones made by SEASONIC.

Chicony Power Technology makes the TX750M , not the same quality.
