I just started playing Skyrim. I've never played ANY video games, EVER, prior to Skyrim (other than in the 80s when I played in the arcades and I only played a couple of those games!). So, yeah, I'm an older player...I'm 51. I don't have the knowledge or time or patience to build my own PC. I don't want to spend over $1000, and would prefer Windows 7 64 bit OS. What computer brand and model would you guys recommend that I buy and from where? I usually shop at Amazon, NewEgg or TigerDirect, but am willing to shop elsewhere if need be. Oh, and yes, I have used a few console commands, and would definitely like to use some mods on the gaming computer once I get it, so that is definitely a factor. Thank you in advance for any help you can give or any advice you can give!

A 600$ pc.
It can max out skyrim.

This is a good boutique that doesn't overcharge you to put a customized build together for you. This configurator will get you started - I'd advise the cheapest i5 with the stock Intel cooler, a 1TB Caviar Black, a Geforce GTX 760 2GB, and the Corsair CX500 power supply. Add in Windows 8.1 and you've got a $1000 rig to be proud of. And a 3-year warranty.

Ok....poor person here. Didn't get SSI/SSDI as I had hoped, so I'm going to have to do this with credit cards, cash I find, gifts, etc. My brother-in-law is going to build one for me, I just need to get the parts. SO I'm going to buy components. I don't care what the case looks like, just need a good motherboard, processor, and I guess graphics card. The only game I play is Skyrim. I will probably be loading Morrowind as well, and if they come out with Elder Scrolls 6, I'll most likely get that. Yes, I plan on doing mods, but probably less than 10. Definitely "Inigo", maybe one ENB, and I don't know what else yet...maybe a player home. But that's all I'm planning on at this point.

Suggestions on components? I requested a $1000 budget previously, but obviously that's out of range now. I want to be able to play with graphics set on high. I've got a 20 inch monitor. I'll probably buy another mouse but stick with my normal keyboard unless someone thinks another one would be better for gaming.
