I started my first build recently so I'm completely new at this but I believe I'm having troubles with either my GPU or my MoBo. First off my PC starts up and runs, just doesn't display to the monitor with the GPU in the PCI-E port.

I've tried connecting VGA, HDMI, DVI adapters to no avail. But I've recently noticed if I boot my PC up without the GPU connected the monitor will display. I'm completely at a loss as to what to do and any help would be much appeciated.

Motherboard: ASRock H77M

GPU: PNY NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

Is the display cable connected to the GPU? Are you sure all of the power cables are in place? Rest of the system?

I've tried it with the display cable connected to the GPU and I still get nothing, and I'm pretty sure I have all the power cables in place. I replaced the PSU with a better one a few days ago hoping that would help and nothing changed.

Pretty sure scares me. 500 watt quality power supply minimum with 30 amps on 12 volt rail. 2 6 pin pcie power connectors to the card. What is your power supply?

Corsair CX750. I just went back to double check my connections and everything is hooked up.

I figured it out. I had to change the BIOS to use onboard as primary graphics to update the drivers for my GPU. Updated and switched BIOS back to PCI-E and its displaying. Thanks for your help.
