So hey guys, I'm now leaving grade 10 and going into grade 11 however I know a friend who is graduating this year, he gave me his pc for free as we are great friends and he doesn't use any more. I have a Radeon 7850 with 2gb and a 750w NZXT Hale 82. He has two R7 260x's. Should I replace my 7850 with 2xR7 260x's. All cards (The R7 260x's and my 7850) have 2gb of vram. My PSU (NZXT HALE 82) is a modular power supply with two sets of two 6+2 pin connectors, pretty much enough to power both R7 260x's to spare. So what do you think? 1x7850 or 2xR7260x's

Thanks

if your games and applications support crossfire, the 2 260x's. if not, the 7850.

what about the obvious answer... add a second 7850 for crossfire.

the 7850 is roughly equal to a 260x to begin with... so i don't see anything making sense other than grabbinga 7850 from ebay and calling it a day.

sell both r7 260x and 7850 and buy yourself a single gtx 770 or r9 280x that will outperform your 2xr7 260x or your single 7850 and will pretty much max out every game on 60+ fps on 1080p

you are welcome and you won't go through the headache of having crossfire problems and you will have a much more dated gpu that will perform better
