Pc freezing with new gtx 760

ill try to explain my problem as good as i can (english aint my first language)
quite recently i aquired quite a few parts to build a proper gaming pc, also using some old things i had around my house, and for the last 2-3 weeks it has been working fine, it ran farcry 3 on high/ultra settings with 80-120 fps and barely 68ºC.
and today after i installed war thunder, the pc just froze, it did not freeze on a certain frame, it disconnected from monitor and kept running, no response with mouse/keyboard.Sound also started looping and stuttering until it eventually stopped.
Atm im writing this with safe mode (with networking available offcorse ;) )
i think it might be the psu (its a crap one, ill upgrade it soon), but kinda hoping it aint the gpu dying somehow.
already did a virus search with windows security essentials and nothing turned up.
drivers are up to date , using geforce experience

System specs:
Windows 7 64bit home premium
Mobo: gygabyte h87m d3h
Cpu:intel core i5 4670
gpu:asus nvidea geforce gtx 760 (top version)
hdd: 1tb western digital green ( i think its the name)
psu: ISO-450PP 350 Watt ATX POWER SUPPLY
ram.8gb, 2x4gb 1600mhz (dont remember brand)

Yes im am aware that the psu aint powerfull enough, however it has been running fine till now, i was eventually gonna change it to something more powerfull , 600wat or something.
Is it the psu or the gpu?, or neither?

Edit1: i also have not attempted any type of OC
http://www.alientech.pt/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=23153 place where i bought my gpu (site is portuguese but all gpu info is in english)

Edit2: tried clean boot, still failed. stuck in black screen now.

but why fail now?, it has been working well for 3 weeks without crashing and just starts now?
ive used it on some intensive games lately (bf3, bfbc2, far cry 3 ) no problems with fps drops or anything.
i knew it was too weak for it but i was hoping it could buy me some time to get a proper psu.

not disagreeing it is the psu, i was already quite suspicious he was the culprit, but war thunder aint that intensive, but eitherway i was just delaying the inevitable.
