I am trying to upgrade to Windows 7 from Windows XP.

When going through the install process I'm running into "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing" Windows Installation Error. I've tried to remedy this by finding my raid drivers for my motherboard but it seems that I cant find them anywhere.

My motherboard is : MSI MS-7184 (AmethystM)

Can anyone help me?

That motherbd was used by Hp and eMachines so we iwll need the specific make and model # to find any, if they even exist at all.

Are you doing a clean install? You cannot "upgrade" from XP to 7. You have to use the "Custom" option and lose all your settings and programs.

Get your personal files out of there before you wreck XP completely, then ditch RAID and install W7 from a legitimate Microsoft DVD on to one the hard disks, leaving the other free for storage, backup, etc.
