First, I have to say my first language isn't english, but i'm doing my best.
So here I am, about 1 or 2 weeks away from building my first gaming PC. I read a bit but i don't know a lot on computers. I'm building a PC on PCPartPicker mostly for fun and practice, but maybe it will become my first build. Like I said, I don't have a lot of experience in pc building so i'm deciding entirely with reviews and stats sheets, so i need advice on my video card!

I don't know if I should buy the
Asus Radeon R9 270X (270$)
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-r9270xdc2t...

or the
EVGA GeForce GTX 760 (300$)
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp43768k...

270-300$ would be a good price range i think for my gpu.

The reasons i'm hesitating is become i read that GTX 760 is better than R9 270X
But the core clock of the Asus Radeon R9 270X = 1.12Ghz
And the core clock of the EVGA GeForce GTX 760 = 1.08Ghz

I was wondering if that would make a big difference.
I would use my pc for gaming>web surfing>streming videos

I would also be opened to any recommendations in another gpu or tips to build my pc.
Thank you very much

You should be able to get an r9 270/x (HD 7870) for well under $200. Don't bother with the 4GB version, just a waste of money.

I had r9 270x toxic for a week and evga 760 for a week and decided I'll go with gtx 770. From my experience gtx 760 gave me better performance in benchmarks on average 10% and in gamig I gained extra 10fps in bf3 and bf4 on ultra. So I'll pick 760. R9 runs little bit hotter than 760 with acx cooler. I hope my answer helps you.
