i bought the i5 4670k and i realized the haswell refresh cpus are being released on may 10th. Today is my final day to return the cpu, after i bought the cpu i opened the package to make sure and check if all the contents were in the box, so can i still return the cpu when i had opened the package? The box isnt damaged and i thankfully didnt just rip the box open, i opened it where the factory seal was which is where your supposed to open, i didnt open where it had the serial numbers and model name.

Contact who ever you bought it off if that is fine. Ideally do it over the phone to get an instant answer rather than waiting days for an email reply.

Depends on the Law in your country along with the terms and conditions of the place you bought it. Giving them a call will get you the answer.
