I'm looking to upgrade my rig! I wanted to know if it's possible to get a good quality Motherboard and PSU with a $325 budget. Almost forgot to add, I want to get the i5-3570k.

Current Rig:
Mobo: Biostar a960d+
CPU: AMD Phenom 965 BE
GPU: Sapphire Dual-x r9 270x
PSU: 500w Cooler Master (RS-500)

My problem is I can't maintain the overclock I had on the CPU before I got the 270x because I think the PSU just doesn't have enough power. I should be getting way better FPS in games based off of videos I've seen with the 270x so I want to know the best way to upgrade! I was just going to upgrade the PSU but the MOBO isn't so good and it should be better to just upgrade all 3 right?

You are doing the right thing by ridding your system of that poor motherboard and PSU. Try and sell on the Phenom. You'll make a lot of money, as they 965 is still a very sought after CPU.

However, I seriously doubt you'll get a 3570K with a Z77 board and a good quality PSU for $325. The standard Core i5 CPUs are still incredibly fast, even without an overclock. So consider this build -

CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($179.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: MSI B85M-G43 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($74.24 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99...
Since you want to change over to an Intel system, you want the new motherboard to be an Intel socket, correct? Which would mean you need a new processor as the 965 BE won't be compatible with an Intel socket motherboard. So would it still be $325 for the processor, motherboard, and psu, or would you set a different budget for the processor?
