Looking to upgrade my GPU to a Gigabyte GTX 760. The 2gb is 259.99 on newegg, the 4gb model is only 299.99. Is it worth getting the 4gb? What if I could get the 2gb version for 207.99 "open box" from newegg as well, does this change things? Would my build even be able to utilize the extra ram?

My current build:
AMD Phenom x4
GTX 460
4 gb ram (getting 4 more)

More about : gigabyte gtx 760 2gb 4gb

4gbs is for high resolution like playing game on 2 or more monitors but 2gbs should be enough for you and i would rather spend a bit more for 770 instead of 760 4gbs

A 760 doesn't really have the need for 4GB of VRAM, even if they were in SLI, they wouldn't really yield the sheer power needed for utilize 4GB of VRAM.

So in short, go with the 2GB.

VGA Standard Return Policy Newegg
Return for refund within: 30 days
Return for replacement within: 30 days
This is our Standard 30-Day Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (those products for which Newegg states "This item may be returned for a replacement or refund within 30 days only") must be returned to Newegg within 30 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. “Return” constitutes receipt of the product by Newegg, and not the mere issuance of an RMA.

The following conditions are not acceptable for return, and will result in the merchandise you have returned to Newegg being returned to you:
Cards exhibiting physical damage
Cards that are missing the manufacturer label containing model number, part number or serial number
Cards that are missing the manufacturer warranty label
Cards returned without all included accessories, bonus games, and documentation.

i wouldnt mind getting open box one because you can return as long as you dont damage the gpu. but if you dislike returning process then get a brand new card
