Hi Tom's Hardware,
I'm looking for some assistance in choosing a distribution amplifier for HDMI.
What I'm working on: I'm trying to use a single HDMI input from my PC to multiple displays throughout my apartment. However, I do not require more than one display to be running at a time. Also, sound and video quality are very important to me and I wouldn't want to sacrifice quality on any of the outputs.
I have three displays in total. The first is my PC's 24" monitor (ASUS VN247). The second is my bedroom television 32" LG (32LN530B). The third is my living room television 47" LG (47LM4600-UC).
After purchasing a 25' HDMI cable yesterday, I am currently able to reach all three displays (my apartment is only like 530 sq. ft.) with the hassle of unplugging every time. This made me think to look for an HDMI switch, but in reverse. Once I realized that I was looking for a distribution amplifier I'm having trouble finding something that will best fit my needs.
These forums have been a tremendous help for me in the past, and I would really appreciate any input, suggestions, or recommendations!
I wouldn't mind if I had to change "channels" on the device if it means not having to sacrifice quality (if such a thing actually exists). Also I'm hoping to find something relatively inexpensive if possible. Preferably less than $200.
Thanks in advance!
