I am trying to update my Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe BIOS. The new BIOS came as a .bin. How am I supposed to flash with this? I have looked around for a while and I am not finding what I need. I have tried AWDFLASH and WinFlash. AWD Flash said "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running... check if you need x86 or x64 version of this program", WinFlash said it didn't recognize the BIOS file.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, currently unregistered.

I would like a step by step on how to flash with a USB and what I should do with this .bin file.

The BIOS is 1804

Trying to make an AM3 processor work, according to Asus it just needs a BIOS update.

It looks like, under the drivers section of the support area for your board (from what i saw), there is a bios utility. It might be a converter or a utilitiy that is intended to read the bios file for flashing (for example, my sabertooth board has a bios converter utility that automatically converts .rom bios files to the now supported .cap format needed to flash. The utility I talked about for your board might do that, or it might provide a way to flash using the format of bios you were given

Thanks for confirming the 5001 bios, I was unsure about that. The problem with the asus utility is it doesn't recognize the BIOS file. I don't know if I need to point it towards the file or move the file somewhere specific but the utility hasn't gotten far enough for me to find out.
