Questions about Crossfire

I currently have an AMD Radeon 7770. I don't really have the money right now to buy a really nice GPU so I want to buy another 7770 and Crossfire them. I have a couple questions, though.

1. Do you recommend crossfiring? (I'll probably do it any way but I'd like to know the concerns)

2. I use dual monitors. Would I plug one monitor into GPU and the other monitor into the other GPU or would I plug both into one or what?

3. What is the equivalent of crossfiring two 7770's? (meaning what AMD GPU would the power of two 7770's equal)

Thanks.

Solution
CF is fine, issues are more common when games are new (until driver updates come out) and can have some microstuttering from time to time.
Both into the top card.
Approx. a 7970/r9 280 or a GTX 760
