one day when i turned on my laptop, i could hear a difference in the sound like it sounded lower than normal. i tried everything to fix it back, but nothing worked. then i went online and downloaded the conexant audio device, i opened it and after a while it would say that it failed to install. it said that there is no audio device on my computer. i kept trying over and over but it does the same thing. there is this red x on the volume icon and it says no audio output device is installed. i have no idea what to do! :(

i need help as soon as possible! no music wont play and videos wont even open!

Did you download the correct audio driver for your laptop model from your laptop maker's website?
If yes, have a look in Device Manager for any clues as to what the problem may be.

If there is no Conexant audio device listed there, and no error icons either, it's possible the audio device itself has failed.

If there is an error icon there for unknown device "Multimedia Audio Controller", try the driver from your laptop manufacturer's website but make sure it's for your laptop model.
