Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

AMD R9 290 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
AMD R9 290 Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit as minimum.
AMD R9 290X - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550~600 Watt power supply unit.
AMD R9 290X Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 800 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

If you are going to overclock GPU or processor, then we do recommend you purchase something with some more stamina

Personally, I'd use an 850 watter.....there's just so many good ones at that wattage for attractive prices and the extra wattage means the PSU will run cooler and generate less heat ..... PSUs hit peak efficiency at 50% load.

So i can use a 750W PSU?

You can use a 700w PSU .... assuming nothing in the box is overclocked and it is an average PC (no stack of HDs, not water cooled etc.) . As the article says, 700w is a minimum..... if you are overclocking those GFX cards, you could be adding 50 watts or more a card.

Again, I recommend an 850....

1. Has room for overlcocking
2. Lots of great 850 watt units
3. Prices comparable to 700-750 watt units
4. Capacitor aging leads to a reduction in capacity over time.
5. PSUs are mot efficient at 50% load.
6. Extra capacity means it will run more efficiently and won't run as hot

Top end (10.0 jonnyguru performance rating)..... Corsair HX, Seasonic X Series
Next tier end (9.5 jonnyguru performance rating)..... Corsair TX V20, Seasonic M12 Series, Antec HCG / HCP, XFX Core Edition
